Complete application refactoring with an emphasis on UX and UI.

KOMIX

The RefCar application (Reference cars) is intended for the management of company cars and their distribution among traders by means of ordering, drawing or allocation.

PROJECT INTRO

Thousands of cars are purchased from ŠKODA AUTO every year by individual dealerships as part of the reference program. These are company and leasing cars of ŠKODA AUTO employees, which, after being seized, travel to the distribution network.

200 dealerships buy 15,000 of these cars annually.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The task of KOMIX was a complete refactoring of the application. However, we changed not only the code, but also the UX and UI of the entire design.

Users appreciate the intuitive control of the application, its simplicity and clarity. Now they don’t need extensive training or a manual to use it.

We replaced the original 13 subpages on which users performed the required actions with a single page.

PROPERTIES OF THE RESULTING SOLUTION

Transparency

Users find their way around the application better, the control is intuitive. All this mainly thanks to a sophisticated UX and UI solution.

Simplicity

The original system processed each request on separate subpages that were not linked to each other. We replaced them with a single page.

Time savings

Users navigate the application naturally. They don’t need long training sessions or extensive manuals.

Comprehensive documentation

It supports the need and willingness of collaborating teams to continue to develop documentation and actively use it.

DESIGN SAMPLE

Responsiveness

The new solution is fully responsive for both laptops and desktop devices, as well as smartphones and tablets.

Simple control

A new interface that respects the corporate identity, but is significantly simpler and more understandable for users.
